Waiting Room
This time I will proceed uninterrupted
by the worn cuffs of loss-
clinging to the dry bones of another day,
I weave myself through the hours and
recall everything so misted with the blur
of a chambered soul
haunted and lost.
My summer trees bear ripening, twilight fruits.
I bear witness to the approaching winds.
